Paddy Curran - Tue, Oct 28th, 2014 3:37 AM PDT
Saw you at Salisbury last week with my son. He is 18 and heavily into the delta blues and people I have never heard of. This is his choice of music and he loved every minute and came straight back and wrote a song - said he was so influenced by the show. No doubt kids like him will be listening to your music in 100 years time and being influenced by your work. A master of your craft. Paddy

Martin Lam - Mon, Oct 27th, 2014 4:28 PM PDT
Thank you and the band for a great show last night in Bristol. Your music was a large part of my teenage years the late 60s and early 70s, and the Colton Hall, Bristol was where I saw you play many times. Inspiring!

Thanks for coming back to Basingstoke last evening. Great gig. We didn't know how much we were spoilt in the 60s when you brought the 'Beano' lineup to the old Galaxy club. Still blowing us away after all these years. Tragic news about Jack Bruce, remember him playing with you after John Mc, but legends live on. Grateful thanks.

Peter Simms - Sun, Oct 26th, 2014 4:06 AM PDT

Saw you and the band at Basingstoke last night.

It was great and so enjoyable made even better by playing my favourite
(Broken Wings )which is funny as I was reading your interview with Pete Sargeant in the latest edition of Blues Matters.

Thanks again for a wonderful evening of Blues.

All Blues , All Ways.

Best Regards

Thank you for a wonderful show at the Payomet Tent, formerly a USAF radar station, in Truro Mass. Everyone was spot on, with some great solos worked in. The mix of new and old as always worked great! And yes, as was mentioned earlier, you should have already been an automatic member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - just shows how truly out of touch that organization really is. Thanks again John, and look forward to many more shows !!

bill robinson - Sun, Sep 28th, 2014 2:01 PM PDT

HI John and bandmates!!We just would like to say how much we were knocked out by your show at The Payomet tent in Truro, MA Cape Cod!!!Everyone in attendance seemed to LOVE your incredible rockin' blues energy! BTW, despite being called "The Godfather of British Blues" you should AUTOMATICALLY be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame cuz you ROCK! Also, good luck rocking our "sister" city of Truro, UK!!
Love ~ Dan & Teresa

Bulldogs for sale is a BOOTLEG!
You do NOT need it. The tracks (with better sound quality) are on
"Live at the BBC" and the 2CD expanded edition of "Bluesbreakers wth EC" There is one exception "Time has come" and somebody has posted that on YOUTUBE.

Thank you all for a wonderful night at Jonathan's in Ogunquit, Maine! It was an honor to meet you, Mr. Mayall; I was right in front of you during the show and I witnessed how much you expressed, how you faithfully live the blues in your harmonica, keyboard, and singing. You reminded me of my Father, who was a Nashville picker and a Jones Boy (George Jones that is). My Father had the same look in his eyes as you did tonight, while he was deep into the groove... Amazing. My two year old son's first concert was during your last visit to Jonathan's, while still in the womb. He know plays harmonica like a budding champ, as he watches me attempt to play the Sonny Boy Williamson song, Bye Bye Bird... learned from a tape of Eric Clapton performing with him in Germany back in the late 1970's. Thank you for everything you have done in your life of the Blues; the planet Earth and my own music would be so very different, without your influence and style. Cheers!

John, knowing you thru "your" music now since 1966, having my first "live" experience with You and the Bluesbreakers (Harvey, Larry, Paul and Sugarcane)in Dortmund, Germany, on a Mardi Gras Monday in 1969, seeing and hearing John Mayall's Blues many times since then, on countless Records, Tapes and CD's, live in Europe and in the US, even as a Warm Up Band for ZZTop in the old Reunion Arena.
I am tremendously thankful to you for this Great Show at the Granada in Dallas at the 16th of this month. A "Back to the Roots" evening with fantastic Bluesbreakers.

Regarding the question about the openining number from the 8/15 show, I believe it was "All Your Love" from the 1966 "Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton". Awesome show.

What the heck was I on yesterday?! When did the Bluesbreakers become Brothers? Apologies and baskets of grovels!! Senility has set in, I fear.

Jenny Naylor, nee Gifford - Fri, Aug 8th, 2014 9:21 AM PDT
Hi John! Do you remember a little girl who lived at 25, Acre Lane, Cheadle Hulme many years ago? Your grandfather used to bring me a little piece of tripe every week! I used to play with Caroline and was terrified of Philip. You were my hero who painted eggs for me, quite magic. Your treehouse was amazing and I used to look at it with great envy! The front room at 23 with the piano and record player is also a treasured memory. My brother Andrew is also a fan, but being 7years younger than me remembers you with the Blues Brothers. As I am 71 and this is your 80th Anniversary Tour, we decided we had to get to see you together this year. Andy lives in Wiltshire and both he and his partner, Paula have MS. I am going to go and stay with them when you are in Frome on November 8th. We have persuaded the kind manager to let us have chairs at the side as we can't stand for long. So looking forward to this gig. Thanks for the happy memories....Jenny.

Alex Fisher - Fri, Aug 8th, 2014 8:56 AM PDT

You are truly a credit to your profession and a brilliant musician who has influenced so many other hall of fame musicians. When is the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame going to wake up and induct you? Your musical talents as virtuoso multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter and bandleader are still to this date incredible! Continued success in the future. I'm looking forward to seeing you play at the Lesher Theater Fri Jul 25, 2014 in Walnut Creek, CA. Again thank you for all that you have accomplished in blues music. A special life indeed!

I have been to Manchester, England. Hired a motorcycle and rode all over the country; up into Scotland.

Room to Move remains my favorite John Mayall tune. Love you, glad you are still around. I first heard your music when I was 14 years old in the early 70's. Hope you come to South Florida in the near future, I want to introduce my 23 year old nephew to your music. Saw you in concert when I was in high school at the now defunct Hollywood Sportatorium, you were awesome.

I've seen you several times before, and am so happy to have seen the band play in my city at Ottawa Bluesfest. Thanks for coming, and for playing one of my faves- "Nature's Disappearing". I think I was the only one who knew it, lol, but now you've gained a big Ottawa Fanbase. The band is so talented. Hope to see you again at Bluesfest, this time on the big main stage where you all belong! Maybe a guest appearance by Buddy & Hank too? The songs from the new cd sounded great. Thanks for coming & showing 'em what da blues is all about! ;) Hasta la vista.

Thank you for your question, and we apologize for the late reply. Unfortunately, the promoters didn't book any shows in Ireland for this tour, which is a shame as we've had quite a few people asking. All the dates for the Fall are now posted, so we hope you'll be able to make it to one of them! -

I have had the privilege of seeing your show yesterday at the Imperial in Québec City. Thrilled to bits by such an excellent concert! You certainly are a brilliant, generous and heartwarming musician -and a formidable soul. It certainly is an honor to be in touch with your music and your magic, and I am glad I've been following you for so for many many years. May you come back!!

Thank you for the visit tonight in Sherbrooke. I'm following your carreer for a long time and
I would enjoy à lot to hear Room to move. It would bring some sweet memories from my teenage years. You touch me in so many ways.

Thanks à gain
