We've had quite a few people asking about vinyl. The answer is that we're looking into it and it seems likely, though not definite, that we will be going ahead. We'll announce it on the website when we've made a final decision. Thank you for letting us know you're interested! - johnmayall.com

Thanks to you and your talented band for a very good evening at Ronnie Scott's. I tried to remember how many London venues I'd seen your band at over the years - got as far as 14 but I'm sure I've missed one or two out.

Great show last night at Ronnie Scott's - my first, but no means last, gig at that iconic venue - a fitting setting for a musical icon. Looking forward to Ipswich in October.

Graham Watt - Fri, Apr 18th, 2014 4:07 PM PDT
I've recently booked to see/hear The Man at Cadogan Hall in London UK on Sa01Nov2014. There'll be a handful of us there who were at Ealing Mead School (west London UK and long since pulled down) when John and the band of the day played at the end of the school year in 1963/64/65 (we think - July of those years). In those days bands in schools were not common. This was cutting edge. Lead guitarists then were Eric Clapton and/or Peter Green we think.
It would be great for us (but probably a bit boring for John) if we could have a moment with The Fella backstage at the Cadogan (before or after the show) shake his hand, share a bottle of beer and see whether he can shed any light on the uncertainties noted above. We're trying to arrange it and would love to hear from anyone who can smooth the passage to a little bit of a thrill for some old blokes not quite as old as some others!

dave - Thu, Apr 17th, 2014 6:49 PM PDT
From the 60's.. My family was from the Haight, I was born there. We were there before the hippies. I saw most acts that came to town.. John always had a professional presentation of top musicians and arrangement. One of my favorite concerts was hurricane Harris whipping it up at Fillmore west, I'm retired in a Nicaraguan surf town,
They still play mayall music in the clubs here.

Siegfried Sumser - Thu, Apr 17th, 2014 2:51 AM PDT
The first time a heard your concert in Frankfurt 1969 or 1970. The second time, yesterday, 44 years later.
Is was great, very thanks.

Natalia Fonad - Thu, Apr 17th, 2014 1:09 AM PDT
I attended my first John Mayall concert in Hungary. It was AWESOME :-)!!! It was amazing to see you from the first row, and the sounding was perfect. You guys are too crazy :-D. Making such a beautiful music and being humorous as well. I especially liked Greg who was always making funny poses :-D. It was also funny when John counted before a song, and a guy shouted a very different number, so he should count again. The new songs from "A Special Life" were really nice. In the song "That's all right" the mouth organ was so marvelous I cannot describe it. "So many roads" was too beautiful. And of course I was blown away by the masterpiece "Californa". So it was GREAT, and one of the best concerts I've ever attended :-)! Thanks for coming here and this amazing experience!!! Hope to see you really soon! Keep on bluesing!

Thomas Wiggenhauser - Wed, Apr 16th, 2014 3:13 PM PDT
Dear John thanks for today´s concert in LKA Stuttgart. I very much enjoyed it. I didn´t like the location though! Now back at home I am listening to your new record - GREAT!!!! I very much like "World gone crazy" which reminds me of my favourite 70ies records - USA Union and Latest Edition. I think that record is the best you have made for years - thank you also for that! One remark - my wife´s granny has her 100th birthday on 30th April - I hope that we can celebrate your 100th Anniversary in 20 years! All the best for the future and - keep on going on with the blues! I look forward to seeing you in Germany soon! The kindest regards from me!

Prof. Dr. Mayall started the performance at 8:00. He gave lesson, how must we live in the age of 80, doing what we have to do - like a "hard working man". I was wondering, that the concert sounded so clear, as it was unusual at live music. The public and the musicians can learn from you! Thank you! See you again in Budapest!

I hope you never get tired keeping high the blues-flag! Our Radio is so much full of s**t - who can push more John mayall Music on the air? And I recommend John Mayall for Peace Nobel Price. I hope to see you again next year in Freiburg. My friends and me will be there.

Your music touches my mind and especially my heart since the middle of the 70ties. For me, there's no greater Blues musician. I honestly hope you can carry on for a long long time. Thank you for hours and hours of listening pleasure in front of my speakers. And especially a big thank you for the show last night in Hamburg. I've never thought before that someone would be able to play a better guitar solo on "Blues for the lost days" that Buddy Whittington, but I now think Rocky did. All the best for the tour,
Your big fan from Germany, Frank

thx for a marvelous show in Leeuwarden!
can we expect a DVD of this tour? please do!

Paul Butt - Wed, Mar 26th, 2014 5:53 PM PDT
Ive seen John 3 times and once live in a web cast at Tupelo Music Hall . One in 1969 one at the Bath Blues festival, the other two with his drum-less set and lead guitarist set at my home town in Cardiff, one in 1970 at Bath Blues Festival in 1970. The last one was in 2013 on the web in the Tupelo concert. They were all great. I was going to see him in England at Ronnie Scotts but its over a hundred miles from where I live and I don't think it would be possible because I'm a Disabled Person and a few years ago ended up as a wheelchair user, but that's beside the point. Have a great time in the UK (where you hail from :-) and happy 80th year still touring , I hope you make another streaming concert so I can see you again (although its only virtual lol) bye for now its time at 12.53 I was in bed ;=)

Saw the band perform to a packed house at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels just two nights ago and was massively impressed by both the quality of playing and John's voice, which I'd say is better than ever before. Great to get a picture taken with John before the show; his was the first gig I ever went to, at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon in around 1969 when I was a tender 13 years old. Congratulations on your 80th year, John.

Just sharing: Walter Trout needs our help, he needs a liver transplant asap. Just wanted all the fans and Johnny Mayall to know. Please help this family, they need us now!

Many of you already know that Walter Trout is very sick and in need of a liver transplant. If he does not receive the transplant within three months he will not make it. Please say a prayer for Walter and his family.

Hi guys,

It's around midnight and I just got back from your concert tonight in Limoges (France).

What concert and what energy after so many years on the road. I had a great time, the musicians are top (dedicated to the drummer, you plays heavy and smart dude!).

John, I hope to be as dynamic as you are when I get your age.

Excellent concert!

Please return to Oregon as soon as you can!!! The Harmonica Blues Blowout was great but I really like the dynamic and sound of John Mayall and his band the best! Have a great tour guys.

Tears in my throat, yesterday evening in Bordeaux, thanks John, you brought me back nearly 50 years, when I bought your first record. Wishing you and your crew a great anniversary tour. Oh and btw my son Lennard is so proud that you signed his tshirt, I think he was the youngest in the crowd with his 15 years. You are still making fans, chapeau, they say in France. Thanks again and keep on rolling!
Robert
