That evening in Berlin was outstanding! Everytime I am at your gig I have really high expectations but you never let me down, Gentlemen, and so it was this time! I loved the energy, the way you had fun on stage... I truly enjoyed all solos, especially my Favourite Bass ;) Take care, see you!

Chris - Fri, Sep 25th, 2015 11:09 AM PDT
Dear Mr. Mayall,
I want to take my second chance to say hello to you after I unfortunately missed my first one on your show on wednesday. I didn't dare to greet you or even give you a wave when you've been sitting there before the show. Now I don't know why.
I'm in my thirties and got in contact with your music when searching about musicians, Steve Cropper played with. (Please let him know, there are some people in Western Europe who would definetly like to see him.) I really enjoyed your show so much and back home I took out my bass: your concert motivated me to be active again.
Cheers, Chris from Germany

Jürgen Müller - Fri, Sep 25th, 2015 9:33 AM PDT

A great show yesterday evening in Ennepetal, Germany. Thank you for the Blues in all these years...the first time I saw you on stage was in 1971...

Juergen Broemmelhaus - Thu, Sep 24th, 2015 1:04 AM PDT
The first John Mayall LP i heard, was Blues From Laurel Canyon, it was in the early 80th and i thought, that´s Music from a Long time ago. Yesterday i heard the show in Ennepetal Germany, my 10 yo son was with me an he thought, that´s music of today.
Thank you all!

Wed 23 Sept. 2015 A sitting audience – hard to accept. Even while the band tries to change this with ´Dancing Shoes´ … Sexy legs shinin' through your hose, honey. Wish to have seen them.
Hugs to the band for never giving up! Try to see you in Paris. Yours, Ulrich

Ole Bang Christensen - Tue, Sep 22nd, 2015 3:36 AM PDT
A gorgeous show at Godset, Kolding, from the mentor and legend of blues! The entire Godset was filled by sheer energy from the stage, carried out by the gracefully ageing master and his fabulous band. After what may be numbered out in dozens of concerts, John Mayall and band obviously still enjoy the music as much as we do! A swell and genuine evening, in all its senses.

Hi Guys!
I thought the Gothenburg was GREAT but the Malmoe Concert was GREATER. It had more power and energy!!!
The mix, in both Concerts, between old numbers, new ones, covers and your own material is GREAT!
My Lady, from whom I've got the tickets as a birthday present was to her first bluesconcert and liked what she saw and heard!!!
Thanks and hope to see you again in Sweden!
Since 65 - a fan!

eddie james - Fri, Sep 18th, 2015 7:37 PM PDT
In Clearwater Florida at the capitol theater this past May i got a chance to see you. I purchased your cd from 1967 and asked you if a fan had given you the tapes. You told me the story was inside the C>D cover. I hope I didn't offend you by asking you about it. Then , I realized that BB king had passed later that night. Sorry.

Per Agnell - Fri, Sep 18th, 2015 12:12 PM PDT

Stein Roger - Tue, Sep 15th, 2015 3:47 PM PDT
Just been to the show in Oslo and it was AMAZING!!! The band is absolutely fantastic, I am lost for words! I traveled 200 km for this, which cost me an unpleasant amount of money, so it's fair to say my expectations were high. But they were exceeded by far! This is one amazing group of musicians!

Please join the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise Jan 2016. Elvin Bishop has found his way to the ship again. It would be an amazing event for you to join the artists. I'm sure the artists would feel it was an overdue event? The 1st time I heard you wail on the harmonica I was 12.

Rob - Mon, Sep 7th, 2015 5:27 AM PDT
I don't want to be one of those people, but... "will he play America"? Yes, every year, many many times per year for at least the last 45 years... the upcoming stretch is overseas but that's somewhat of a rarity. Watch/wait for upcoming US tour dates (which are inevitable) before booking a flight to the Ukraine...

Barbara Westbrook - Sat, Sep 5th, 2015 8:12 AM PDT
I live in Texas, USA, and want to see Johns performance. He is huge part of my music experience and one of the few I haven't been able to see. Will he play America? If not, what is the closet country he will play and I will start checking for cheap flights and accommodations!

Andrew Twigg - Sat, Sep 5th, 2015 5:19 AM PDT

Thanks for the response regarding the tapes.....BTW, about 15 years ago I did an interview with Savoy Brown co-founder John O'Leary. When I asked about special memories John said that seeing John Mayall's Bluesbreakers at The Marquee in 1967 with Paul Butterfield sitting in on "All My Life" was without doubt his favorite memory.....tim

Dear Tim (Aug 27th) - Wed, Sep 2nd, 2015 1:38 PM PDT
Thank you for your question. We asked John and he said that he lost "EVERYTHIING but the clothes on his back." It was a very difficult time and a lot of memorabilia was lost. We hope that helps. -

Tim Pratt - Thu, Aug 27th, 2015 10:11 AM PDT
Back on July 6th I posted a question about John Mayall's tape archives which were lost when his home in Laurel Canyon burned down. Any details yet? tim

We have the signed photos on our "store" page. We don't charge for the photos, but just for shipping and handling, which is paid via Paypal. If you're having trouble with that, let us know. Vicki Martz - Mon, Jul 20th, 2015 3:28 PM PDT
I am wondering if John Mayall appeared at HecEd Auditorium on the University of Washington campus in spring of 1971 with maybe Johnny Winters and/or Jethro Tull? My memory from 44 years ago is a bit fuzzy. But...I'm hoping you can help

Jeff Brown - Fri, Jul 17th, 2015 1:41 AM PDT
Just saw the band in Seattle tonight. I am an east coast guy and followed John for years from NY to Maryland. Great show, but the real treat was John playing "Mail Order Mystics"! I love the song and never heard him play it live! I even approached Hank Van Sickle on "myspace" years ago to intervene for me... no luck! Thanks John for one more great show. WE LOVE YOU!

Pete Stingley - Wed, Jul 15th, 2015 2:43 PM PDT

We were treated to a wonderful performance tonight in the Shedd, Eugene, Or. Our grateful thanks to John and his band for that. It has occurred to us that A Special Life is one most apt for this blues legend and fine gentleman. God Bless him for his outstanding contribution to the canon of Blues music!

Joan Marie - Wed, Jul 15th, 2015 11:29 AM PDT

Your performance at the Shedd last night was one of the top concerts I've ever seen (I"M 67). Your band mates were all top performers and you graciously shared the spotlight with them. Best bass player ever! I did want to hear Room to Move, but was happy with all the rest. Thanks John.

Yes, we are sorry to say that John and the band will not be coming to Spain this time. They did have six dates there last year and they love to play in Spain, but the tours are put together by the promoters and John doesn't chose which countries they visit. Hopefully next year! -

Nick(Seville-Spain) - Mon, Jul 13th, 2015 11:48 AM PDT
No dates for Spain?it would be a tragedy for your fans!!

Michael Rappaport - Mon, Jul 13th, 2015 7:28 AM PDT

I was at the July show in napa, calif. 7/11/2015
At the cuty winery. I was very impressed with the show. John and the band were totally on.
They feed of the energy of the crowd, and had a great time themselves. They treated the crowd well and were very congenial after the show signing CD'S. Carry on John and the queen should knight you.
Sir John play on. !!!!!!

If anybody wants to see how joy looks like, go to John Mayall's concert. Trust me, I just came back from Yoshi's.

Jack Ingram - Fri, Jul 10th, 2015 8:53 PM PDT
Saw John and his band at the Ace in Sacramento last night. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Cu dos to the band all around. John patiently sat out front and signed CD's prior to the show. I did get the swoop from John for standing around by the table trying to figure out how to take a picture with my blasted cell phone. Left me feeling a bit mean, but then again John deserves his room to move.

bullet roberts - Fri, Jul 10th, 2015 11:39 AM PDT
thanks for the great show last night in sacramento. from graciously signing autographs before the show to totally rockin' out, everything was awesome! john's voice and playing sound as good as 50 years ago and his band is outstanding.

Last night, July 9, 2015, John and his band played at a little club in Santa Cruz called Moe's Alley. I was there taking pictures all night. It was a wonderful show. John was gracious and a true gentleman with a great band backing him up. Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Ron Filiault - Thu, Jul 9th, 2015 10:51 PM PDT
Just got home from catching your show at the Ace of Spades in Sacramento. Last saw you at the Mark Hummel Blues Harmonica Blowout at Three Stages in Folsom, CA. I have to say John that your show tonight was a knockout! I've been a fan for 40 years and I cannot believe how instrumental you and your bandmates have been to the history of blues opinion, of course. The group of musitians you brought with you to Sacramento are a testament to the quality of musicianship you engender in your bands. All three fellas were great players in their own right but I'll bet they will forever appreciate their experience with the John Mayall School of Blues. A big shout out for this young bass player. His solo towards the end of the set was worth the price of admission. You're a national treasure...

Tim Pratt - Thu, Jul 9th, 2015 4:54 PM PDT
Got curious and checked the Marianne Faithfull discography. No mention of John Mayall but I did learn that Mayall's "Turning Point" era guitarist Jon Mark was Faithfull's arranger and guitarist from 1965-'67 for four albums and also had song
writing credits too.

Dear Richard (22nd June) - Thu, Jul 9th, 2015 1:46 PM PDT

Saw John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers last night in Santa Barbara and they were awesome. What a great band! These guys rocked the place and John Mayall is full of energy and has put together a fantastic band. What a treat!
